My site, http://www.sg-house.com is a modified phpbb forum. I change it to make it easier for people to post in, sort of online classified. Currently, there are about 300 posts from the users.

    I installed a few mods:
    - Able2Know SEO Mod
(I changed the htaccess rewrite, to disable sid only for search engines, as I allow guest posts)
    - Printer friendly mod
    - I can't remember what mod is this, it create "search engine friendly" pages: http://www.sg-house.com/sghouse/

Things go well until around end of last week. Just a week ago the site has a few hundred pages indexed at yahoo, more than actual number of pages. Then suddenly, it drops to just 10 pages indexed. I thought it was temporary problem, but till now the problem is still there.

This is the Yahoo search result
    http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=site%3Asg-house.com

One thing I notice is that the htacces rewrite seems to have some problem in my server. While it displays correctly in browsers, in Google Analytics all the pages writen from the htacces rewrite is shown as just one file. Will this affect the ranking?

I have recently submitted the site to quite a number of directories, but the problem appears even before that.

    Any clue?

    Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that. Your site looks good. Just get rid of the images placed next to your google ads because its allowed as per Adsense TOS.

Are your real estate listings duplicate content? Where is the content from?

i took some listing from other property listings (around 20-30), just to get it started. but as far as I can remember, I took only the main details, and rewrite most of the sentences.

after that, the listings just flow in from users, mostly real estate agents (sales persons) promoting their own listing.

and about the AdSense code, I read somewhere else it was alrite to put image next to it. but to be sure, I have sent an email to AdSense team asking for clarification.

    thanks for pointing it out.

    Hey Man,
Mod rewrite modifies your present URL structure to SEO friendly URL structure. Since your site was established one it must have the URLs indexed with old URL structure. But now your old URLs do not exist. That is the reason why you see yourself not listed properly. This will take some time for the new pages to get indexed in google and other SEs.

About google analytics, I dont think you should face any problem. But yes since your pages are not indexed properly so you must be getting less hits and this would be resulting in low statistics result in analytics because it will show the actual hits.

    Regards
    Mirainfo

    thanks, mirainfo

    sorry, i was confused

"I changed the htaccess rewrite, to disable sid only for search engines, as I allow guest posts"

    is actually:

"I skipped the htaccess rewrite part. I changed sessionid part, to disable sid only for search engines."

    I was sleepy.

So, the site is still using the old URL, minus the sessionid.

The mod-rewrite is used only on this http://www.sg-house.com/sghouse/
Basically, it shows the same content, but simplified layout.

Then, about the Google Analytics part, this is what I meant:

Index page of the "search engine friendly pages" mod is http://www.sg-house.com/sghouse/

Example of the pages there are:
    http://www.sg-house.com/sghouse/buy-sell-landed-property-1/
    http://www.sg-house.com/sghouse/bungalow-holland-road-33.htm

All these are actually created by http://www.sg-house.com/sghouse/index.php
    using htacces rewrite mod.

Anyway, from the URL, from the example there, at least there are 3 pages already. the index page, one page for each forum, and one page for each topic(thread).

But in Google analytics, all of them are shown as just one entry, with the icon before the entry showing the folder instead of file.
    http://www.sg-house.com/sghouse/

    Same thing happen to
    http://www.sg-house.com/blog/

all the pages on the blog are shown by Google Analytics as just one entry.

THis is what Yahoo does, I had the same thing happen, not low as 10 but droping like half of SERP, then getting back up with better links.:D
