I started my new finance site (see my sig) about a month ago and I submitted it to Google through GWT as soon as possible. After some time, I could see in my GWT that my site was indexed. But when I search for site:www.crackingfinance.com , I get nothing. But when i search for site:crackingfinance.com , everything seems to be fine. Does anyone have an explanation for this and can anyone help me solve this problem? Thanks
Yeah its indexed don't worry. basically, if you know bout the level of domain, Your 2nd level domain and third level domain is two separate urls for google(in some cases). Normally google algo is smart enough to identify that its a same site but it will start priritizing only one url. that's why we seo's suggested to redirect your www domain to without www domain or vice-versa.
You can use Google Webmaster tools to set priority to any one of your domain displays. After you have verified your site ownership in Google Webmaster, you can use it to make lots of tweaks to make it your way.
yes so your sites is cached, you may not worry; Do bookmarking on some good sites this will be reflected with in 2-5 working days/
One point which can be important is the direction of links towards websites, if you decide keeping the WWW. format, continue adding links to your WWW. homepage and not the http:// style and after a while Google will adapt its rankings and listings with your web data.
Hmmm, have you now redirected it? I'm seeing a redirection from www version to non-www. However, I'm still not seeing any page indexed when I use site:www.crackingfinance.com .. Did you used GWT to set priority for domain version? When did you redirected the domain?
don't worry,it's taking a while until you can find it as you searched it,until then try to get some backlinks
site: http://crackingfinance.com will do the trick. Your site is indexed. Congratulations on your new site.
