I run a gambling website which is currently blocked in Italy.

Now, Italy have passed any laws or anything which makes gambling illegal they have just blocked the site.

I assume they've blocked sub-domains, but I'm not sure a I don't have anybody to test in Italy.

Currently we have a .net site for getting around the advertising laws in France which provides a play for fun client, but is currently de-indexed (as we don't really want anybody going there and it has duplicate content).

How can I get Italians to the main site where they can download the poker client (which isn't blocked)?

I have Geo-IP software, so if I can get get .net only indexed in Italian Google (not anywhere else) which can then present them with a geo-specific page where they can download the client, then that'd be good.

Anybody got any ideas on how to do this or some other ideas on how to get around the blocking?

if gambling is illegal in Italy, why would you actively pursue to get these visitors since if its illegal a large chunk will avoid it now, while the few that remain will be engaged in illegal activity possibly meaning that you're liable (not sure about that - consult a lawyer)?

You could try getting a .it domain which Google will perceive as being localized to Italy.
