Indexed in less than 2 hrs and got 1st hit from G in 2 hrs without any DP sig link

I guess it depends on what we consider competitive? If there are only a couple sites on the topic, and the backlinks are minimal, then it's not a competitive niche. It is near impossible to rank for truly competitive terms with a new site, most anyone in this forum will tell you that.

don't get your hopes up. If your page doesn't get backlinks to it soon, you site will be "banned" for that keyword for a week or longer. I have seen it happen way too many times.

 

what do u mean by getting back if we don't get backlinks????

My experience for indexing fast by google is less than 20 hours, but after 1 month my site de-indexing. So, base on my experience the safe way is indexing as natural as possible. This is only my though.

 

Get backlinks that's all there is to it. It's not a ban per say, but more list a, google won't give you top spot without some authority pointing back to your page. If you write a keyword rich article, google will pick it up pretty fast, you will see results pretty quick. After a week or so, your page will drop off the search engine for that particular keyword.

Write about something else, same thing will happen.

Just focus on writing quality content, get it submitted to the social bookmarking sites and let time take care of the rest.

 

There's no rocket science here at all - everyone knows G loves wordpress blogs, and with Wordpress, as soon as you publish the blog entry it pings to some major sites - G picks this up, sees new content and indexes you.
Fairly simply process really . Agree with the other sentiments - your keywords will rank highly (hopefully) for a short time and then will start falling down the rankings as time goes by (assuming this is the so-called competitive niche). If not competitive – you will remain ranked for quite some time!

congratulations, you were lucky to get visitors from google search so early, but targeted keywords is key

do a search for "canon rebel xs w/18-55 is lens black" no quotes.. scan the list and see if you can see a site that probably wouldn't normally be there.

Now check the same search in a week, I highly doubt I'll keep that spot

 

maybe wordpress gets indexed so fast because it pings technorati and other blog engines which then feed google

 

A site does not need back links to get indexed in Google....the big G will index all sites

Indexed in 2 hours? That is some thing really amazing. I thought that indexing in 2 days was fast, but this is super fast. The faster my blog got indexed was after 2 days.
