Hello friends, this is my first post on the site. I was looking for an answer so I registered in the forum. My site is indexed in Google but it is very slow. Every time I make changes to the site, it takes about a week for the changes to be indexed in Google again. Please help. Thank you.

Have you tried submitting a sitemap through Google Search Console? That might help speed things up.

Multiple factors are responsible for a slow site, such as the content on the site, the size of images or videos, the theme, and graphics. Everything should be smaller.

Please keep posting and submitting your website in Google Search Central. When Google will know your frequency then automatically index your pages after making changes.

One way to speed things up is by submitting your updated pages directly to Google Search Console using the URL Inspection tool. It prompts Google to crawl your page faster.

Also, check your site's overall speed and performance—tools like PageSpeed Insights can help. Google tends to prioritize faster-loading sites, which could influence how often they crawl your pages.

I had a similar issue when I started out, and improving my site's internal linking and keeping a consistent content update schedule helped a lot. Adding a sitemap and ensuring it's properly submitted in Search Console is also a great way to signal updates to Google.

I think a week for an update is not that long for such small website as yours. Everything depends on how often Google bot visits your site. Perhaps he comes once a week and after crawling at the same moment rolls out in Google index updated version of the page. So there are no delay.
