Indexed in google so quick!?

Hi i recently setup a client website and informed them that their website will be indexed by google within a month atleast after we have submitted the url information etc.

The client went onto another website called: www.adoos.co.uk its a Free Classified Ads Directory and had advertised their website information and link there.

Within a day or i believe within two days when i put in the website name the information they had submitted in www.adoos.co.uk came up right away as PR1 listing their ad that they had placed?

I also noticed a similarity with other websites also.

Can somebody explain why and how this happens so quickly?

my website itsfilmi.com is still not indexed
but when u google with keyword 'itsfilmi' all sites come up where i used the link except my own site lol.
I think google indexes biggies like youtube, myspace or directories very quickly than the new sites.

Google picked up the link on the classified advertisement, crawled to the clients website, liked what it read and then indexed it. There are times when indexing can take weeks, and other times just hours.

Maybe i didnt make myself clear earlier. The clients website was not indexed it was the free classified ad that was placed on www.adoos.co.uk.

If a web site is indexed new pages can sometimes only need 1 hour to get indexed.

Ya, 2 days isn't very quick. I've had pages indexed (on old sites) and ranking for decent terms within minutes.

I agree with ad1, classifieds, forums and SB sites, updated frequently.
That;s why there is good chance to indexed in Google quickly.

    Hmmm interesting people mention Forums...

Because i have run forums and still do.. ive tested this feature where i took a month or lets put it this way 3 month old + thread name and i google it but its nowhere to be seen. I even googled very weird thread names which are unlikely to be found on the internet but i still couldnt find any results for the forum....

    Hmmm

When I was participating into the seo contest 2008, I had a blog which were not indexing at all. Then after making some tweaking and corrected some problems, it was fine. The new pages were indexed within 30 minutes.

The problem I had with the homepage not indexing took me more times. The Google algorithm had tag other pages to be duplicate content of my homepage, and as long as those copies exists my index page was penalized.
