My New site is about 2 months old. I am indexed good in google and yahoo. I have done Bookmark submissions, link trades and I am in a lot of free directories.

Should it take this long for MSN to index me??? When do you think I will be indexed??? I am linked to other sites that are indexed well on MSN. Any tip or tricks that are not black hat that will get me indexed faster?

I have the same exact problem, however I believe they have somehow banned my site? Can't figure another reason, since I used to be able to find my site on MSN.

I also use Microsofts own PPC - but still it seems like they are banning my site? Very strange and frustrating.

That's my site. Present on both Yahoo and Google for the search term "Byggekort" also on Microsoft PPC but not the search engine... Anyone have an answer to this it would be very apreciated.

msn just arent that good, they dont run the same algorithms as yahoo and google, I find it the same problem and for that they can just be ignored in a nice way, even with ppc they bring very very very little traffic compared to the same keywords and sales for yahoo and google, just forget they even existed in my opinion as there not even worth it.

MSN is now Live Dot Com.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one having problems with Live. I read somewhere that Live is very particular with Sitemap standards.

Check out Sitemaps Dot Org or Blogs Dot MSDN Dot Com for more details.

    Check this out!

"There are many reasons why your site is not getting indexed completely. As stated in the past, there is a limit to the size of our index and while we would love to index every page on the web and would love to index every site, we currently cannot guarantee that each site will be indexed and we don't guarantee coverage to any site.

We are growing our index all the time. We quadrupled our index size in the last year and hopefully we will continue to grow the same way next year. So why does it crawl so many pages and index none? Because we have to select what we think are the best pages. Not everyone will agree with the design of the selection and ranking algorithm, however, we are always working on making selection better.

Also, although we have devs working on the solution, we are still experiencing issues with 301 redirects.

YSB and RB also only got their first page indexed, but I'm not really worried about it, not really alot of people use live.com as searchengine.

Google does seem to index sites more quickly than Microsoft. I had a situation similar to what you describe with a site I built. Google indexed it fairly quickly but after quite a while it still wasn't indexed by Microsoft. So many people have said that submitting your sites directly to the search engines is a waste of time that I hadn't done that. So I decided to submit the site directly to Microsoft and see what happened. Within a few days they had indexed the site. Maybe it was just a coincidence, and the site would have been indexed about then anyway, I have know way of knowing. But if you haven't submitted your site directly to Microsoft you might give that a try also, it only takes a minute or two.

I have submitted my site directly to Microsoft, but still no luck - I can't figure out neither. Can it really be banned? But why? I don't think I do anything wrong with that site (bildedoktor.no)

If anyone have a clue as to how to fix this I would greatly apreciate it :)

My site is over 5 years old and I'm still having this type of issue. Come on Microsoft...get with it! Perhaps you need Yahoo! more than ever!

It takes time to get indexed period.. so just be patient. I've had success on all 4 engines. Ask has been the slowest and nearly all of my pages have been indexed with MSN. Yahoo and google are coming along... simply continue to build a site with useful content and optimize your pages and code and in time your site will get listed.. there's no real shortcut to it at all. Patience is a virtue so wait it out and continue to build your site and you'll get the results that you're looking for.

MSN or Live? By submitting your site to Live it takes just a few days to be included.

It just takes one day or two to be index in MSN. Make sure you have already submitted to Live search.

I faced a same problem with MSN. We've got good rankings in Google & Yahoo but our site not even indexed in MSN. That's frustrating. Our site is 3 yrs old and we got our home page alone indexed in Live 2 months ago. But again it's lost and gone out of index.

It is always been the problem with MSN. MSNBot Crawl million of pages a day
not every page that we crawl is indexed. For a site to be indexed, it must meet specific standards for content, design, and technical implementation.
