How much time after google crawled my site should I expect to see it in the index? Any ideas?

    Thanks

It never took my new sites more than a month to get in. I always link them on the front page of my highest PR site just to give it that extra push.

If it's doing a deep crawl, you should be in the index in a few days...

It can take up to a month for your site to get indexed, but who knows how long for a deep crawling.

No, if it comes and goes, it's not a deep crawl. It's a deep crawl only when it comes, stays, and gobbles up all or most of your pages before leaving. If it's coming and going intermittently it's still just feeling you out. Wait for the deep crawl.

How can we monitor the behavior of bot's crawling? how do we now if bot has crawled my pages? I suppose server log files will have the answer?? if yes, how to check/read that?

    thnx

I have installed a script that logs the bot's visits to a database.
You can get it here http://jonathan.charpie.com/ext_click.php?id=21
