adding a signature link here would probably help getting your site indexed quicker.

New sites will be sandboxed for several months, meaning that they won't show up in many searches except for very rare and highly uncompetitive search terms.

As long as you submitted your sitemap, you'll be fine. Now you need to work on getting your site some exposure. Without resorting to spamming, go and get some quality links.

As the previous poster suggested, a signature link at this forum will be a good start.

There is another option to get your page immediately indexed. Get a link to your page (to be indexed) from a high traffic page. The threads in the dp are immediately indexed by the google. At the most google takes some 15 - 30 minutes to index them. That way you can have yours included by leaving here it in the form of signature:)

Are the links do-follow and do they help in getting indexed?

I suggest writing more new (quality) content, that will always help in getting you noticed by the big G.

Yes, they help in getting site indexed. A highly traffic website like SEO forums, news, press release, articles website or website which is updated on daily basis, search engine bots visits regularly. So getting your website listed will make yourself visible to Google & help it to crawl your website.
