Hello I have a review site to which is an PHP script. I want to insert/add the Google 'verify' code, However after a few failed attempts (a few places were shown to me where to insert the code none worked!) Therfore I am requesting a little help from one of you Guys! If any one knows or can help it will much appriciated Thanks..

Nope! Had a go to verify my site using the 'create a HTML' method! did not work ERROR!!! We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 200 (Success) in the header. According to Google they said try the 'meta tag' way! GREAT back to where I started>. IF there is someone out there who can sort this out please jump in! Its been weeks that I have been trying this and I have another 5 sites to do! Surely there's a way to add the verify code to my script INDEX.PHP manually! Thanks..
You want to verify the analytic account or insert analytic code from verified website ? If its account go the html way ( I know you've tried go again and read instruction very carefully). If its code than insert it right before </body> tag on your output page.
