    Hi

I have a very serious problem regarding Google Indexing of one of my site.
It was showing around 17000 a month ago and is now showing 1000 using site: www. abc . com

Whereas the Google Webmaster Tool shows
    Sitemap Index:Total: 88,670, Indexed: 49,045

Why there's a huge difference between the two?

How to i satisfy my client?

This website is used for affiliate and is using iframe to place cookies in user browser. Through iframe the affiliate website is displayed in the same url of my website. Is this the reason why Google is de-indexing my website links?

There is no issue of copied content or no content. The website is having all unique content, unique title and unique meta tags. Have clean urls, that are rewritten using mod rewrite function and is written in simple php.

Please suggest why the two site: command and webmaster tools are showing the difference.

    Regards

What you are seeing in your webmasters tools is all of the indexed URLs including the URLs that are in it's supplementary index. These are pages that are returned by Google when nothing else matches the search.
    So this is not good.

What you get when you use site: are the pages that are in Google's regular search index.
It is not uncommon for this to drop dramatically for a new site.
The best way to get the supplemented indexed pages moved up is by inner and external linking to these pages.

I do not believe that Google reads content in an iframe so you may be causing trouble there.

Actually i think iframe its not really good for any tracking script.

As I personally experience errors on different tracking code when iframe in place, further more its not really good for SEO in some way.
