Index page lost in Goggle cache

Read some threads on this and other forums about similar problems.

The index page of my site disappeared from Google cache. The site displays normally in MSN and Yahoo.

So, the index page no longer appears on a SERP for ANY keywords. The other 6 pages appear when searched with the relevant keywords. They remain cached.

Tried 12 Google ban checks with different tools. Results: “site is not banned”

Does anybody know or can predict a solution for this?

Have you actually read the replies for these other posts? The advice and answers have all been the same. Google is in the middle of a refresh and you'll see dozens of posts from webmasters saying their sites are jumping all over the place - some falling out of the index for a while.

Do not worry, carry on with what you are doing, adding quality content and building links. There is nothing you can do to "fix" the problem as there is most likely no problem with your site at all! It is quite common for results to go a bit haywire like this when Google is doing these refreshes, so just enjoy the ride and sit tight. We are all in the same boat.

 

To be absolutely certain of whether or not your index has been removed from Google's cache (and it shouldn't have been if you've been playing fair) just punch the following command into Google and click 'search':

site:mysite.com

If your site does not come up then I would recommend contacting Google directly.

I think it's broken

 

I had the same problem. It lasted about 3 days then everything went back to normal.

 

The site:mysite.com command displays the 6 inner pages, but not the index. It will be great to know If when Google banns a site, it does so by blocking the domain, or by removing the index from their cache. Thanks

 

not much you can do about it for now. Just wait it out a few weeks and see what happens when the dust settles. One of my sites did this last update and then came back stronger than ever.

Yes: I read about the refresh, which is indeed confirmed by a Google engineer.

So the2 possibilities exist: penalized site, or Google changes that will soon be resolved.

I wonder: will Google consider SPAM a 9.63% KW density for the exact title of the Website, and so it penalized the site removing only the index from the cache?

My sites have also been in and out of google. The best way that I know of is to get a google account and submit your sitemap. You will get a lot of information about your site there is also options on the crawling and how your site is presented.

If your site is banned they will tell you so and you can ask them to reindex your site, you will have to answer a couple of questions or rauther explain why you didn't follow the guidelines.

I have done this once and that site is indexed again it toolk a couple of weeks though.

 

i think you should wait for some days and then contact google if it doesn't come back ..

 

My index page vanished from the cache yesterday morning, I have been monitoring it throughout today and it has slowly started to become cached again over some datacenters (http://livepr.raketforskning.com/?u=www.wight-self-catering.co.uk).

I have performed a search on a couple of the datacenters that have regained the cache with my best keywords and the results look similar to before the PR update.

So I am feeling a bit happier than I was yesterday. Although at the moment traffic from Google has plumeted to an all time low.

My last site that survived all December crap got a present from G today. No cache for homepage.

 

Try using yourcache.com to check cache status of your page in various Google's datacenters.

 

I tried livepr.raketforskning.com, there is no cache

 

It seems that is one more Google game as we are used in last month or so.

There are few people on Webmasterworld reporting same thing. But it seems its day or two problem.
