    Hello,
Do you use noindex for category in your sites and what is the correctly for seo (index or noindex) in your opinion? I use tool that show me i have duplicate content in my site, so i changed category from index to noindex, follow, noodp, noydir.

For wordpress, what is the better plugin - platinum seo or yoast ?

Noindex means Google or any other search engines can't index content on your site. The default value everypage will be index and follow unless there is any restriction in robots.txt.

a lot of people are struggling to get just one page indexed, so why noindex? if you want your categories will not be found then use it. the dupe content thing is something we can not prevent at all. think about news sites like CNN, BBC and so on. sometimes they report the same story, but don't get slapped by google....this penalty crap is just a myth but reality for copycats.

overuse of seo is not recommended. keep thinking like humas do and do not try the "spoon feeding search engines crap", then you have a good chance to get your site ranked for longer. your site has to stay in context with your niche and a clean structure is a must have. don't think if google, yahoo, bing or others will like your site. they are really not interested what you have to offer unless your site is big enough for them to buy. engage visitors and keep them on your site for longer than just a minute. offer something interesting to come back next time and you're ready to go. just bring it
