Index Count Dropping

    Hello,

I recently created a new website, launched last week. It was indexed on google, approx 1200 pages, now today, approximately 4 days after initial index it dropped down to 29 pages -

    1) has anyone experienced this before?
    2) Am i on a path to being banned/delisted?
    3) Am I just being paranoid and should wait it out a week to see what happens?
    4) Does anyone have any suggestions on getting reindex count higher?

    Thanks

Sometimes, google will show like that. But u check once with site:yourdomain.com in Google and u can find all the indexed pages within ur site.

To faster index, u have to create a xml sitemap and submit it from the google webmaster tools. And also create one html sitemap and give a link from ur home page.

First off, the site is to new to get in Google's dog house.

Second, are you using an XML sitemap for submission via Webmaster Tools. If not, then you do not really know what Google is doing. Setup a Webmaster Account today and find out.

The Google toolbar and site: will not give you the full picture.

If the site is dynamic and using query strings, Google may think the pages are "duplicate content". If the dynamic template being used generates ~ 50% same code/text, then you are getting it that range. Even though it is different records within the database, if the page displays the same, it's duplicate content.

We had to remove over 70% of the common code to get Google to index our site.

I've also has similar problem.. I use wordpress for my site and after few days get more than 150 pages already got indexed by google. Now after I checked again, the indexed pages only 50 left..
I noticed that all the category pages already not in the list anymore.. is that normal?..

Can somebody advice me if that's good thing to no index the category pages to avoid duplicate content within our blog..? I use all in one seo box plugin.. and xml sitemap plugin..
