    Is this any good for making web layouts / templates after designing in photoshop?

    Not at all. It's used for DTP only.
    You'd better stick to Photoshop for web graphics. And if you want your layout coded into a web template, you can use Dreamweaver (however the best way would be to coding it "manually").
