I am looking for someone with InDesign experience to edit several short books for me. Basically, you will receive the book text in .doc format or indesign format and have to put it on the Indesign book template I will give you. This is a very simple task if you know how to use Indesign, you will basically have to copy and past the text into the template; make the necessary editing so that the book looks 100% done by a pro (this is way you need to know Indesign); check every page to make sure everything is perfect; then send it to me and get paid. The books will be 50 to 100 pages in small format, so if you know what you are doing you can easily do 2 per day (if you do not know indesign you may spend days figuring out how to add page numbers or change font size, so please do not apply if this is you case). If you are interested please PM me or post here ONLY if: - Indesign editing have no secrets for you (this is an edition job so design is not necessary for this but if you are a great designer I will also pay you to make the cover); - you have indesign 4 or older (I have 4 and it can't read Indesign 5 files) - you are so smart that once I tell you what I expect from you, you can do it over and over again without having me loosing more time checking that you do editing - you are available for long term collaboration (I have a lot of work for you) - you are fine if I pay you by PayPal once you do the job (could be after 1 book, 10 books, I don't care but don't ask for advance payment). - you already understand what I need and are able to tell me how much you ask for every book when you PM me. - you promise that you will not send me 3 emails per day asking for a positive itrader on DP Thanks!
I'd be apply for this, if you didnt say that unlogical term. Everyone wants the payment as soon as possible. You may scam after the 9th book and the designer gets nothing. It always so, that you pay 50% upfront.
Really? How can you be scammed after the 9th book when you can request to be paid after the first one? Sorry but no work, no money. I worked with freelancers for over 10 years and nobody found this 'unlogical'. If you are not fine with this, do not apply!
You are the one who says, it doesnt matter after 1st or 10th, do not ask for the payment. After every work you must pay. One by one. That's how it works. I'm dont care if I work with you, you just have to learn how to work with real designers.
Look, I sure you are real and have some real problems with your English but if you are not interested in my job do not post here, let me work with the other designers that are not so real as you are.
