Independent or Hollywood?

    I never really took interest in Independent movies, until my boyfriend got me into them. Some of them are SIMPLY amazing, better than any Hollywood movie I've seen. I've noticed that more and more actors are going this route (Leonardo Dicaprio for example). Is Hollywood going to be a thing of the past someday? What does everyone think?

    I dont think Hollywood will take a back seat to independent film makers as the independent film makers dont have the funds Hollywood does but i am more inclined to like the independent films for that reason as they have more imagination and thought put into them..

    Professional made movies are already losing to other entertainment sources like Soccer Leages or Gaming and less movies which fair great are made these days like X-Men seems only movie which is outstanding this year. Transformers another movie was just software made.

    Presently, Independent film is much better than Hollywood movies. The stories on indie films are fearless and well crafted.

    It may slow down a bit, but it wont pass away definitely, films are just going to switch on what people would want to see. Nowadays people want to see more cabooms, sparks, crashes and stuff like that :(
