I just saw on TV how chiness killed Tibetans going true Himalaya to Dail Lama they shooted them like dogs how is this posible in the 21 century
Here's what it's all about .. Chinese guards 'killed Tibetans' At least two Tibetans were killed and seven others wounded when Chinese border guards opened fire on them, a refugee support group has said. The head of the UN-sponsored Tibet Refugee Reception Centre in Nepal, Loudhup Dorjee, said the alleged incident happened on Saturday. He said about 70 Tibetan men, women and children had been trying to cross the Nangpa La pass from China into Nepal. Forty-two managed to enter. He had no information on the fate of the others. 'Two people down' Earlier, mountaineering website MountEverest.net carried what it said was an eyewitness report of the shooting from an unnamed climber in the area. "Without warning, shots rang out. Over, and over and over. Then the line of people started to run uphill," the climber said. "We saw two shapes fall. The binoculars confirmed it: two people were down, and they weren't getting up. Then more Chinese army swarmed through Advanced Base Camp." There has been no word from the Chinese authorities. Correspondents say hundreds of Tibetans try to cross the Himalayan border every year in an effort to flee Chinese rule.
Socialism isn't really a 21st century thing. The Chinese are playing catch up right now, but they are still a long long long way behind.
Humans are screwy little creatures. If you give them power, they will inevitably screw it up. That's why equality and small government are so important. Each malfunctioning little human is kept in check by the other malfunctioning little humans around him. In China, each human is seen as unimportant. Only the state matters. So, from that perspective, who really cares if you shoot a couple of humans, or forty? It is more important that rules are followed and that the state maintains control. It's a crappy system, but it is the natural and inevitable result of big government.
China, I think, is at least heading in the right direction. I'll think they'll become a representative state in 20 years or so. I don't think their version of communism can hold on for too much longer. They are becoming too open.
