OK...let's have a little reality check here and some truth in advertising...

I'm sure the money doesn't come rolling in just because someone links to one of your websites.

For those of you who don't have Mcafee Site Advisor installed on your computer, here is what they say about PlatinumPartner.com. (McAfee is currently the #1 computer security company in the world.)

And, here are a few user reviews posted on McAfee's Site advisor's Site for PlatinumPartner.com.

The site has many negative reviews and the non-negative reviews have been questioned as being possibly being not authentic.

Just want to say....Buyer Beware! Or, is it time us affiliate marketers start really looking at 3rd party advisor sites because anyone can post anything...it's time to fight back?

That's an extensive research there, Jim Guinn. Thanks for warning us.

Still, it doesn't hurt to check out the site. :)

    Hi affiliategirl,

Yes, this Mcafee Site Advisor is great, but I'm sure people will attack it since it is put out there by one of the "giants". Can't wait to hear those "theories" of how Mcafee "is taking advantage of us"...ROFL..... Hey, maybe I should see if they have an affiliate program!...:)

By all means, check out the site, judge for yourself, but ask questions here so others can help you. Remember, I am not condemning this site, at least I hope I didn't even though I came on strong  , I just think it is high time we let others know what we have found about a site from a reputable source.

If others can find positives about this site, I will be the first one to encourage them to post these and cite the source(s). Without source citings, any rebuttal will be considered, at best, insignificant.

It's time for affiliate marketers to do two things:
    1. Get back to the basics that built this industry.
    2. Stand up and shout out about those that would tarnish our industry, thus tarnishing us in turn and hurting our livlihood.

I stand for both, and am not afraid to admit it.

    So :p ... LMAO

    Hi Jim,

I admit that there a lot of affiliate programs out there giving the rest of them a bad name. I just wanted to let people know about PlatinumPartner.com since they have performed very good for me and believe that many people can also benefit from it and make some extra cash.

    :)

    Hi Gold Reviews,

I don't doubt that some people are doing well with them. I'm glad you are.

I couldn't tell from your post whether you owned the company or were just an affiliate.

I just wanted to warn others that most of the reviews do not shed favorable light on PlatinumPartner....so others should beware.

    Hi Jim,

I just went to the advisor site and was amazed. I really don't understand why PlatinumPartner.com would get some such reviews from people.

The people that are giving those reviews are definitively not affiliates in my opinion. I personally know many other people promoting PlatinumPartner sites and are having great success with their digital products!

Maybe you could enlighten me with your opinion?

    Thanks in advance :) ,

    Hi Gold Reviews,

I have found McAfee's Site advisor a pretty good tool since I installed it. Based on the feedback about PlatinumPartner, I wouldn't touch the program, so it is hard from me to give my opinion of a program I am not a member of. I was just reporting the feedback from a reliable third party.

I think it may be the fact that they are not ripping their affiliates of but just their customers by selling products that can be get freely.

That is my views on the comments posted above.

    Hi John,

Upon a re-read, you have a very good and valid point, John.

I would imagine then success with PlatinumPartner.com would depend very much on the target audience and how net saavy they are. The more net saavy, the more apt they are to realize they are paying for "free" information. Net newbies or "part timers" may not realize these products are free and think they are getting a deal.

Hey...Gold_Reviews....What is your target audience for PlatinumPlus.com? Let's test the theory. I will post our "findings" on the Mcafee Site Advisor Site for PlatinumPlus.com and let others, consumers or affiliates, decide for themsleves.

Right now I am promoting a few sites (3), therefore I am targeting 3 different audiences. Here is one of the sites I am currently promoting:

    Detective:

    http://detectivesearches.com/

What exactly do you want to know?

Let's put it this way. It is not going to help your reputation as a marketer if it has such bad reviews as PlatinumPartner.com.

I just typed in www.PlatinumPartner.com and here are the latest McAfee Site Advisor reviews since I last posted:

Interesting to note that the first reviewer who is trashing PP has the user name "scambusted", and the second reviewer, who gives PP a rather positive review has the user name of "blackhat".... :p

Unfortunately, detectivesearches.com has not been rated by McAfee Site Advisor yet.
