I'm just curious on any tips or pointers some more experienced site administrators may have in regards to improving rank in yahoo. My site is listed extremely high in Google for a variety of keywords. However, my site does not rank for anything worth while in Yahoo. I would like to better perform on Yahoo... but just can't think of how.
Even as Yahoo is a directory and not a search engine, it has a search function that visitors frequently use. A site that ranks well on Yahoo Search will miss much of the traffic that the library could occur.
Although ranking well in any search engines is difficult but you should try and capture Google as many of the traffic comes from Google.
if you want to rank, you need to study competition, and work hard to fight (and keep fightin') for your position, if you dont, you just wont.
I honestly don't see the difference in techniques used to rank high in google vs. yahoo or bing for that matter.
The information seemed kind of open and unclear here. Obviously, it is more important to take care of your google search position. Yahoo would be a secondary consideration hands down. Don't mess with your google SEO trying to increase yahoo. That would be silly. That being said, is there specific things that yahoo likes for SEO? Thanks.
First, put more info in your websites, then post more links for your website. That's what i do for my webiste.
If you really want your site rank on yahoo you might need to submit your site on yahoo directory its paid directory and and pr 9 if you able to submit site here your ranking automatically improve on yahoo. By: garageone.ca

Focus on link building & growing your sites reputation. In the long run this will give you the best results in any search engine. Make sure your site's sitemap is registered in each major search engine.
One little mention. If you really want to rank well on Yahoo, get in their Directory. It would ease up a lot, on the inbound link work. Thanks.
