Increasing Traffic but sharp decrease in alexa rank why?

    Last week I had a good traffic (comparing to previous week), but the alexa rank is dropping. Alexa states

    7 day avg 686286
    1 month avg 211815
    3 month avg 284463

    My traffic stats

    Week Page Loads Unique Visitors First Time Visitors Returning Visitors
    W39 2009 902 619 506 113
    W38 2009 791 554 460 94

    Has amazon updated alexa ranking algorithm or mistake in my part? Any comment would be great.

    number of page views per users is one of the most important factors. you need that one as well for alexa.

    Although your traffic has increased,it doesn't mean the alexa rank will improve.They're two different things.
    They are caculated separately.Maybe you need care too much about this.

    Some time traffic fluctuates, i dont think that will have any significant effect on the amount of visitors you receive.
