Increasing traffic 10 fold

Right guys I've been working my nuts off over the past month on my sites. I've started using the likes of adsense and CJ and for my first proper month I've made about $100 from 10,123 page impressions. Now I want to ramp it up properly and to make $1k a month I obviously need to increase traffic in a rather big way.

On my main site I've been posting in topic related forums which gets me around 25% of visitors and the rest come from search engines which if awstats is correct I'm getting (in september) on 97 different keyphrases, the majority being from google. Finally the reamining traffic has come from things like stumble upon, digg and a few people have generally posted the link to my main site on random (sometimes foreign) forums etc.

Also on the promotion and seo side of things I've posted the main site on topic related directories and a few not so related but with pr of 7/8 and brought a load of text ads with the $100 promotion offer on text link ads.

Finally I've posted huge amounts of unique content on the site with lots of useful information and kept my links going outwards to a bare minimum which I think is why I've been getting some google loving so far with it as its only a month old.

Anyway where do I go next? I've kept everything really topic related so far as not to upset the big G but all I can think of is post to lots of general directories (which I'm a bit worried about doing in case it reflects bad on the site), more content (which I'm going to do anyway), and ermm yeah I'm all out of ideas????

content, links, content, links, content, links.

putting all of the above on an old, pre-sandbox, trusted site wouldn't hurt either. for that you'd likely need to invest some money though.

and you can always make new sites, with new content focusing on new niches: the more you've learned in the past, the better each site is likely going to do.

    Hi sterlingpixel

Are the sites old and established in their fields now?
Do you have PR assigned to them?
Are you doing any link exchanges for the site?
Are you submitting articles for your site to get more links?

These are some of the questions you should ask yourself. Try to do a keyword research and see the high traffic keywords that you can start to target with your sites. Get links for those high traffic / value keywords to rank better on search engines for those keywords.

IMO, search engines can get you lots and lots of free traffic if you are able to rank high for some high trafficked keywords. Work on expanding your sites around the niche you are targetting and you should be doing well in a few more months.

Cheers guys, most of the sites are only a month old and don't have a pr yet (well its still 0) don't think the updates caught them, although the serps are going up everyday which is more important to me.

The main one at the mo which is a month old has 3k quality related links, I'm not sure about submitting articles to them articles sites as I don't want my search results being hit by bad quality links if that makes sense.
