    Hey there,

I was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on increasing natural backlinks for a website?

The niche of the website I am concerned about involves real estate geared toward west michigan.

I understanding posting in forums, writing articles, and blogging can increase backlinks. However, they are not natural.

For a freelance programming website, it is easy to increase the natural backlink rate by making a great affiliate program.

What can I do to help natural backlinks for the real estate niche?

Many thanks to those who respond.

    Sincerely,
    Travis Walters

Natural? Well, write a GREAT blog post and at the end of it ask people to link to you.

    Nothing more natural than that.

It's hard though, those natural links.

write or create some juicy linkbait and hopefully that will get pick up by your niche... or you could create some useful tool/application related to your niche
this should get some natural links ...

Write some good blogs and a few great articles. Get active in online communities and don't be a spammer.

Good quality content gets more links from other webmasters.
Directory submissions are good but do not spam.
Have a good sense of communication with other webmasters.

I think that posting interesting, informative comments on related blogs can generate some natural backlinks. Sometimes people will follow the link from your comment to your site. If they like what they see they might mention you in a future post and link to your site.

Write some quality articles and submit to 5 or 10 of the top article directories and let others put those articles on their website with keyword anchor links back to your site.
