There are many ways to increase traffic. Have you tried guest blogging on a similar niche blog? Here you simply contact the blog owner and offer to write a post or two. I am assuming you have pinged and submitted RSS feeds. Have you tried Social Media, like creating a FB fanpage or using Retweet.It to have others tweet you message to their followers. I have been using social media, my posts are pinged and I am not sure about article submission and guest posting.. Because in guest posting in order to get even a few people go to your website you must write an awesome article, but I would like to write the awesome articles on my blog instead of someone elses.. same goes for article directories... =/

Find a keyword (don't be too general, it's hard to rank higher because there are so many more results with general keywords) and then use it in the headers, a couple times in your writing in the footers...
