Increasing my CTR

    Ugh.

I am so depressed everytime I see my adsense reports for the day. I get thousands and thousands of page impressions daily, and the most I've ever had is 3 clicks, usually 1 or 0 a day. My current overal CTR is 0.16%

Anyone have any pointers for increasing my CTR?

Post your website where the ads are and your fellow DPers can diagnose the problem

    www.hott-ringtones.com

on the homepage, the top link unit never gets any clicks.. ever.

on the other pages the left column sometimes gets a click here and there.

i get about 50-60 people in thru adwords advertising a day, and another 100 or so from other places. but I'm not really concerned with the adsense clicks, since i make money by other means on the site. (my network manager at azoogle actually suggested I take off the adsense links completely, since this just gives visitors a chance to get off my page, which is a good suggestion and will probably do what he says.)

    my main concern is www.techsuave.com

we are getting around 3,000-3,500 unique visitors daily (no adwords paid advertising here) and around 4,000-5,000 page impressions in adsense a day, and usually 0-1 clicks.

    yeah, its sad.

the site looks pretty good. Maybe its just not the right sort of niche for adsense. With that many UVs and Impressions per day, I would move my focus to selling ad space. You'll make more that adsense could ever make for you!

Maybe try adbrite? You'd get paid for the impressions at least.

since you are getting good page impression, why not use a CPM paying company? www.oridian.com pays well.

Remember to put your ads above the main fold of content and blend them well with the background.

I had those top running ads as well and got nothing, I changed them to 4 banners going down and although I am not getting the clicks I would like it has improved. Personally I think your site would benefit from the same change, good luck.

I saw adsense pays $.01 for 500 or 1000 page impressions. I forgot the number. have any body noticed?

You only have 1 link unit at the top?

How can you earn with only one link unit?

I suggest you add some ad units.
