I know a lot of people already know this stuff, but just incase someone doesn't I wanted to share how I recently started increasing clicks.

I don't own my own website/blog atm, I found something I like in hubpages so for now I stick with that. Somebody told me a valid point the other day however to increasing clicks. It applies mostly to those who write on websites like hubpages/squidoo or people to make niche blogs/sites.

If you want to get clicks, don't solve the entire problem.

the hub I read made a good point. If you make a website about how to cook prime rib, and you give the people every last recipe, detail, hint and tip to it. Than why would they have too or want to click an ad related too it ?

So I started 1. picking keywords that pay over $.50 per click and don't have too much competition. Than writing about them, and writing quality content but leaving some space for them to be inclined to click an ad for more.

I suppose in theory it makes sense, if your website gives them 100% of what they need, they aren't going to be looking for more right ?

Any feedback is welcome, no need to get angry or anything though. If you don't agree just say so =)

Yeah.. leaving people hungry can increase the CTR, but it may kill the return visits.

very valid point. I guess it is more useful for things like hubpages/squidoo as you don't get many return visits usually anyways.
