i think untill pr3,you can see a little difference at your traffic, but if your pr goes up to 4-5,you can see big differences(at least that's what happened to my page)
This is WAY too simplistic... and relies on all pages having exactly the same content. Of course no two webpages are designed the same (or not if they are genuine!) and will have different content so you can only consider PR as a single ELEMENT of a bigger picture. You only need to Google a few searches to find dozens of examples of low PR sites ranking in results above high PR ones because other elements of their design/content bear more relevancy to a certain search term and therefore outweigh the PR element... ... holistic approach needed
Yup, you got that right. PR is an indication of back links while SERP is the result of those back links.
It must be related but not directly. Because I have two websites, one is pr0, the other has pr2. pr0 has more traffic than pr2. I think it is related to update of your website. If you have a blog which update much, gogle would send more visitors.
don't mind PR, visitor don't visit a website because the website have terrific or terrible Page Rank.
Hi! Get more traffic to your sites of selection almost instantaneously. Get a page rank 9 site to have a one way link IN to your site. This is the right technique that works for your site, for your one-way-back links to your site in an hour! Such as Bum Marketing, your blogs, and even your Squidoo Lense. This works great in Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines, too. It is free, simple and highly effectual. If you are prepared! Then just swing with these easy techniques. You will notice Netscape is PR 9. That is a powerful stuff and Google itself, is only PR 7. If you’re familiar with page rankings and back-links, you know what having a link from a PR 9 sites can do for your site. Just try one-way-back links to your site and in an hour I assure that your site will be in a good PR.
High PR doesn't mean high traffic. You can get high traffic if you have more quality backlinks and good placement in SERP for a keywords that has high search volume.
Exactly. HIGH PR doesn't matter unless you're selling text links. Pagerank doesn't even have any effect on your SERPS.
No, PR is not directly related the traffic. PR only measures how many quality websites are linking to you.
Maybe I misunderstood the question, but no one seems to mention that the popularity of the keyword plays a really big part in traffic. If I get my site to the top of google for "fuzzy gopher figurines", higher PR or low PR, no one is coming to my site. Conversely, if you're able to get on the first page for "porn", then you're probably going to need a new server after the traffic burns up your current one. I've seen it implied in a lot of threads that google has the big queue of search traffic that is just waiting to get out and once you hit a certain PR, they open up the valve at your site.
