I dont know if its just me , but my adsense earnings have been reasonably consistent, however yesterday was by FAR the largest of any to date.

My CPC doubled and when you deal with thousands of clicks this means a lot of money, it seems without changing anything at my end the adverts shown have suddently become more specific, they were more genre related adverts and now they are much more page related giving a better CTR and a much better CPC.

    Nice work google!

Yes the previous couple of days were full of delays in reporting, this morning seems to be carrying the same trend of more relevant adverts, which for me means much better earnings.

No change in content, adsense is just matching the ads to the individual page content rather than the website genre a lot better by itself, the adverts have changed a lot.

On one of my sites, I have noticed this as well. It happened at the end of June and then the middle of July where for one week (approximately) our eCPM doubled or more. Then after a week it went back down. I figured it was more competitive bidding for the keywords, and that was all I could come up with.

Google changed my ads too. I didn't touch anything. In fact, I took the whole day off. After returning, my earnings were down almost 25% from the previous day.

While these changes seemed to have helped some, they killed my EPC. It crashed!

At first, I thought my traffic had crashed, too! Then, I checked previous earnings reports. Then, I actually took a look at the page to see what ads were showing. Terrible!

I wish they would just leave well enough alone. When they experiment, I pay the price. Either give fair warning, or let me choose the ads.

Are you saying your ads are less relevant to your visitors or paying less, there is a difference as I guess some people try and trick google into displaying higher paying ads.

There's something afoot as todays earnings just jumped way up, looks like some sort of back dating filter as the clicks are not moving as the same pace, I think my advertisers are benefiting from much improved adverts just now.

Let me give you an example,

If my website is about music, music reviews, and the latest hits, Google showed ads about MP3s, music downloads, iPods, and hot artists.

Yesterday, Google showed ads about how to play instruments, finding mixing machines, starting a band, and reading sheet music.

Since I know my visitors want to listen to music, not learn it, the ads shown yesterday resulted in HUGE drops in earnings.
