    Hello,
We are a web development company located here in the United States. We do all types of web design and development work.

Right now we do alot of local advertising, and link exchange, article submissions, link directory and stuff of that nature for online presence.

The major question i was wandering is since we are not working with affiliate marketing or stuff of that nature, only money we get is from our service. I was wandering if a professional web development company should really worry about BLOGGING.

I know alot of places worry and talk about blogging but I was not sure if a professional company should worry about blogging as bring in traffic. Or if just regular SEO, Link Exchange, Article SUbmissions and stuff of that nature is the best way to bring traffic.

Please post all your ideas here and your thoughts with traffic for this.

You don't have to, you should be working by word of mouth anyway as a web dev company. Or at worst if you're low on customers, offer some sort of contest or something to drive some traffic initially. People will find you.

Word of mouth advertising and posting to blogs and forums is the best start. It's never failed me once, so I highly reccommend it.

Probably the best idea is to build some script that may be useful for everyone and then put it for FREE on your website. You'll get flood of traffic and it can make your company popular :)

Wow sounds like a good idea. I am always looking for free stuff. Sure I'm not the only cheap ass out there.

If you do web hosting, Try and sponsor some say gaming clans or small businesses and ask for link exchanges ect.
