Increase the width of a wordpress sidebar?

    Hello,

Despite my best efforts I have been unable to increase the width of my sidebar. (I was hoping to get it to something around the 270 mark to comfortably fit 2x 125x125 banners side by side.)

I'm over at http://designtavern.com and am using the theme modula blue giant

I'd much appreciate any help! Thanks

I am not familiar with that theme. But here are a couple of thinks to check:

    1. is the main content width set to a fixed amount? You may need to decrease the width of the main content div to allow for a larger sidebar.

    2. make sure to include padding (left and right) into the width of the sidebar and main content. For example, if you want total width to be 270px but want 10px of padding on left and right side, then adjust the width of sidebar to 250px, and set margin left and right to 10px each.

That is all there is to it. Best of luck! - Scott
