Increase PR, How?

Anybody know how to increase PR? My traffic's so bad. Pls help me get more visitors!

the best method i see would be to exchange links with sites which is similiar or complimentary to your site if what you want is traffic and not PR.

It might not be a bad idea to invest a little in Adwords. You only pay if someone goes to your site so you don't owe them anything for the publicity when no one clicks. The important thing is to get the word out that you are around.

Also another method of getting known is to add your site to your signature in your posts. Add a catchy tag to it and that could get people to visit your site. Besides, search engines do visits sites like Digitalpoint and once it does, you get backlinks for the posts you make and your URL would be captured.

 

Its all about crawlability + popularity.
You can make your website crawlable by removing some hurdles (like sid in forums)
And then toughest job start that is making it popular and it is done by make your website unique and useful for visitors and it is measured by "inbound links" quality.


And PR is now no more better after very recent update (44) because ZERO inbound links reported pages have PR4

 

PR does not equal traffic or top SERP. Dont focus on PR. Just had a quick look at your site. Tip from me - Use unqiue meta-tags for each page - Make sure you use your decription tag as well. Also output your well written SEO desciption meta tag at the bottom of the page. Dont redirect your homepage to news.php.

phpfusion.org providing most Backlinks - Seems off theme to me. Build (or buy) a few (meaning 2-5) quality links from highly related site.

PR doesn't bring you traffic directly. It is just so that you have a good PR number and since the trend is that sites with high PR yields a higher price tag, it is only important if you want to sell your site. What is important is really people, if you have unique and enticing contents, the few people that comes to your site would bring in others. Make something viral that would bring them back day and day again.

 

you should have 10-12 non reciprocal links that have strong popularity and relevancy. keep adding the links in directories etc

 

If possible I'd suggest writing something interesting (and not spammy) and submit it to digg and other social news sites. Otherwise, just link to your site wherever possible.

Submit to directories...build up backlinks. PR doesn't necessarily mean traffic.

 

You can also write interesting articles about your industry and submit them to so many article websites over the internet. Each article can bring links to your site, and also bring traffic.

2. Ask yourself - who do you want to come and visit. People that are interested
in fixing their printers in your area. Or do you want adsense clicks.
3. If your answer is getting customers and not clicks then build a niche.
4. Advertize off-site.
5. Add more relevant content. Fix your printer in Neverland for half-the cost etc.
6. What makes the product you marketing unique?
7. To me your site is trying to disseminate information on printers. Why is it better than the manufacturers websites.
8. Try and compete on two or three word keywords. optimize for that. 'Compare Ink-Jet Printers'

Yes, buy backlinks, or exchange links with another site that has similar content.

By the way, did you get permission from Google to scroll the AdSense Link Unit on top? Or is anyone allowed to do things like that?
