Well Content is King, and if you can put Original Content on your website then you need minimum offpage optimization like link building through blog commenting and forum posting. You can go for directory submission, but I think it has no positive impact on the ranking in Google except some of the popular Directories.
Posting on this forum is a great way, assuming you have a link to your site in your signature. DP Forums are a PR4 site, so if you can get at least 100-200 backlinks from posting here you're guaranteed a decent PageRank next update.
Is that why people post a lot in here? back to the subject, I guess linkbuilding, content and the fact just being here should help. Good luck
I have read this question a lot of times. To increase your PR, you need to invest a lot of time and effort because you need to so some blog commenting, forum posting, directory and article submission, and a lot more.
There are loads of ways to increase your pagerank you must need to gather relevant and high PR links for your site/blog. You need to promote your blog effectively as well. Try to update your blog everyday with useful and unique content , do social bookmarking, forum posting , blog commenting, place trackback and try pinging your blog/site when you have new content
Build lots of quality backlinks and update your content regularly. That will do what you are looking for and also keep in mind to be patient. Results won't get over nightly
So untrue. Google gives no weight to forum sigs any more. old trick. I have sites with hundreds of links from sigs from different sites related to the content and it dont help any. It can help to get your site crawled faster and maybe get some traffic but thats it. High PR backlinks are the key to getting your PR up. Your prolly the 50th person to post this today. read around.
Make list of high PR forums and blogs, then post minimun 5 comments on each blog and forums. Then you would have to wait. After some days(or may be after some months) you will see the tremendous result in your PR.
Try to get as many backlinks as possible to your sites, and ensure the good quality of the backlinks.
PR system is a voting system for Google. No one knows exactly how it works but I think its basic and mathematical. With no outbound links, if you have a bunch of pr1 coming in then your going to be a pr1 or pr2. And so on.
get quality topic related backlinks. directories are useless as most have nofollow. could help post articles to content directories and place links inside.
Google figures that when one page links to another page, it is effectively casting a vote for the other page. The more votes that are cast for a page, the more important the page must be. Also, the importance of the page that is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself is. Google calculates a page's importance from the votes cast for it. How important each vote is is taken into account when a page's PageRank is calculated. So, it sounds like it doesn't matter the topics of the linked pages, just how 'popular' the linked pages are (defined as how many other pages they are linked to and their links are linked to). I hope that helps.
