I started my website in February 2009. The PR update was in April 2009. My site went form PR0 to PR4. Do a search on Google for "your keyword" + blog. Look for high PR blogs if you're aiming for PR. Post useful comments and use your keyword as anchor text. Don't post 50 times on the same blog but try to look for more high PR blogs and comment on all of them. Submitting your site to (high PR) directories also works great. Always submit to http://www.dmoz.org/
PR is basically something you can't control. You shouldn't concentrate on PR. You should concentrate on getting traffic to your site. The pr comes regardless if you have high traffic. If you have backlinks google rases your position. That's a much better way to gain a measure of how well you're doing. PR like they said used to mean something, it doesn't these days. Now it's an internal algorithm. Get backlinks, write fresh content weekly, social bookmark your stuff. Get to the top of google. PR doesn't mean crap. If you're doing everything to get traffic and keep trying to get traffic, that's where your success will come.
create as much backlink as you can with article submission, social bookmarking, submit video to many video site, and podcasting...surely this way will increase your pagerank...
If u want to collect money from adsense....trafic is the most important thing ....its mean alexa rank If u have PR5 but only 20 Uv / day ...so who will give you money ?
I guess it would be possible but it would have to be a month before the PR update. Next PR update is beginning of July.

It's been said over and over. Get back links from high PR websites. Make sure that you do your homework before the next update. You have 3 or 4 months to work on it. Good luck.
i can tell you a secret to increase your pagerank in about a 1 month, well a week or a day, but a month for google to update it. I did it to many of my domains, and it works. If you want to know, Ill tell you for a special price, as i don't want everyone to know for the safety of this method reason.
