Yes, most of them are nofollow.. but still they have some value. When I have checked my back link in yahoo then all of the edu links are showing there.

nofollow links are indexed by yahoo.they count as a backlink but do not pass the pr juice.

Websavy, would it be to much to ask for a list of .edu links that do follow? Thank you!

Most of the .edu blogs or websites are "authority" (high PR). By the way, are all in the list are DO FOLLOW?

here's another way to find edu links - just type in google your niche and then write site:.edu

like if you are targeting the marketing niche you should write it like this

You should also check for the pagerank of internal pages on the blogs to only comment on the high pagerank ones. It's more efficient and effective than just guessing.

Although it's an easy way to just leave comments on dofollow blogs hoping to get backlinks, I hope none will take advantage of it and leave unworthy spammy comments.

Many edu blogs have spammy posts for viagra sites and such. I usually skip these as I don't want Google to associate my site with these.
