Increase CTR - AdSense image ad next to AdSense Text ad

I realize this is being talked about in another thread *sort of,* but nobody
is posting any new information on the topic.

Is doing something like the following against AdSense tos?

Its not against the TOS. Try it and let us know your result. Remember always experiment. Every website will always have a different result.

 

I don't see anything wrong with it. Somehow it look almost like a standard whereby everyone is doing it.
