Create XML site map for your website and submit your website to search engine friendly directories. Try to submit your website on do-follow sites like bookmarking, Blog optimization etc.

 

Publish quality, unique content on your website regularely and generate as many backlinks as you can - preferably form authority sites. Use a business (fan) page on Facebook, and use other social sites. Have you own blog that is linked to your website, and post comments on other people's blogs.

 

I think you can only ping your website only when, and each time, you posted new content.

 

This is not tough at all. Make sure that update your website at least once a week. You can either create a page or post on blog. This will help search engines to visit frequently. Second thing is you can try to book mark your website.

I think updating your website's content and using a pinging tool will get it indexed more frequently than building backlinks. Although your site will get indexed through your backlink, a visitor/user needs to click on the backlink you created first before the backlink and your site gets indexed.
