Increase BitTorrent or uTorrent speed

Does anyone know how to increase the download speed on these torrents? I tried to switch to BitTorrent to see if it would be faster but it isn't. About a week ago i didn't have a problem with downloading speed. Now it takes forever to download a movie. Can anyone help me out here?

There's nothing much you can do to increase it .. The best option is to change your internet provider

Download speed depends on seeders not on ISP

Really ? My internet speed is 15 Mbit/s download and 7 Mbit/s upload ! With these parameters I can download from PirateBay ( for example, torrent with 150 seeders ) with max 50 Kbit/s

Just make sure your cache is empty Always when I'm starting download, I'm clearing it to ensure maximum download speed !

By Default WindowsXp allows only 10 TCP connections you can follow a tutorial to increase your tcp connection to maximum, there are different methods for doing this in WindowsXp and Windows Vista.

 

For some ISP provider, torrent download is blocked on their port.

 

like i said in my first post last week it was working no problem. now the speed is just going really slow.

 

you need to forword the port to your ip if you use the router. you can google for how to forword port for bittorent. that should help.

 

Port forwarding might help, but if you don't have a router that won't be needed
You might be a victim of bandwidth throttling, what's your ISP?
Also perhaps you have simply just reached your max speed, you can't go any faster than what your plan allows you to

 

Just a small suggestion but I hope you are downloading a torrent that has a lot of seeds and peers. I don't really know how are they connected but I have observed that the one which has a lot of these numbers downloads quickly.

 

You goto open up ports and forward them to get good speeds mate. Consider visiting portforwarding.com
