Hi everyone, I'm providing a very small amount of help to a friend that owns a New York company. I have two AdGroups setup for him currently: NewYork-Exact-Keyword and NYC-Exact-Keyword. The odd thing is, when people search 'keyword nyc' it triggers the NewYork AdGroup thus displaying an ad 'keyword new york'. Both of the AdGroups have identical QS and bids. Any ideas why this might be happening and how to solve it? Thanks so much.
can you pause the " NewYork AdGroup" for a moment and see what appears ? to me it looks like NYC is being considered as ney York (no wonder if its broad match or so)
> Go to your campaigns setting page > then in "Keyword Matching Options" > Exact and Phrase Match > Select "Do Not include close Variants" Here your problem will get solved.
you can also cross - negative match your ad groups. Negative Phrase "NYC" from the new work ad group and vice versa. Though the above close variants solution is probably the best.
