google sees only 3 incoming links to my site...

    Incoming Google Links: 3
    Incoming Yahoo Links: 121
    Incoming MSN Links: 47
    Incoming Alexa Links: 19

does anyone know why and what to do?

google is always like that, they only show few of your links - usually the ones with pr above 4 I think.

One of my sites is a PR4 with no backlinks in Google. I am not sure if there are no PR4 sites linking to us, but I would say that is a good bet.

Best thing to do is not to look at Google for checking backlinks. It does not work.

If you think you have a link on someones website, search for that page, check the cache. If your link is on that then Google knows about you.

    Try to search this way

    "softgroups.com" -site:softgroups.com
replace softgroups.com with your domain name of course
you will usualy get all links from the domain name softgroups.com, --- those from your website. got it now?!
    do this on google

Yea Google filters backlinks in a really annoying and (IMO) rather useless fashion. I get lots of plugs on sites with good weight but on page that don't have great individual weight. The accruing of all those inbound links DEFINITELY helps ALOT, but you sure as shit wouldn't know I had them from looking at googles list of people linking my sites.

That, as they say, is not a bug - it's a feature. Google does this by design because they don't want to waste valuable resources on a million and one obsessive-compulsive webmasters typing in link:mysite.com 20 times a day.

The query syntax is virtually unused except by webmasters and webmasters are not Google's target group.
