Last week, my new site had 325 incoming links. Today, it ripped down to just 27... anything wrong? I don't know why this happens...

    Yahoo! or Google?
Did you buy sitewide links? Employ paid links techniques?

Did you used same tools to check backlink? There are chances that the backlinks might have devalued. Start getting more backlinks.

what is your URL? check with yahoo to see you can find the backlinks there. and i would wait for a week or so to see google shows those backlinks again or not. if not, then the backlinks you lost is either were not being counted by google anymore for some reason (paid links being identified by G) or the pages linking to you were burried themselves and not getting indexed by google anymore

    on google, you search link:url.com

I think you check it in Google using the link:

It means the Google has again updated it backlinks...Lol.

You can check to see some of your links on Google webmaster tools...

or not check using different backlink checker...

    rankalert.net
    and backlinkwatch.com

    Hope this information helps...

That's a big difference. Perhaps the pages that have the backlinks to you have gone supplemental.

In my experience Google Webmaster tools is VERY for inbound links found in Google. Where where these 980 links coming from?

This happens to me when my spam blogs all get deleted from Google's index. But all my REAL links still show in Google's Webmaster tools. I've seen thousands of links removed.

Yahoo generally keeps my spam blogs 2-3x longer then google does, so if Yahoo still reports the backlinks and google doesn't I would GUESS (again just a guess) that somehow you where in a some spam blogs or sites that where mass banned from Google.
