Income has dropped by more than 70 % in the last 2 weeks. Was making 20 - 25$ per day.. now down to 6 - 7$ a day.. The eCPM which used to be around 1.3.. is now 0.18.. Just about tried everything.. removed unnecessary ads.. removed link units to try and get out of Google's smart pricing.. But nothing seems to have helped.. How long does it take to get out of being smart priced? Will i ever get out of it? Is there any hope of the income increasing? As its starting to get quite depressing now. Worked very hard to reach the 25$ mark.. Now it has all crashed down. Would contacting Google help? I just gave up my job to concentrate and grow my sites.. But this huge crash has affected me badly. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Welcome to the club. Blame a shitty US economy for that. To make matters worse, experts are predicting this to continue for 2-3 years.
If you guys want to feel better I just remembered I had a second AdSense account for a bunch of sites I hired a summer worker to make for me. I checked it, it was frozen at $100 and my ads have been displaying Public Service ads since September 28, 2008. Today is the first day regular ads are back on there finally. You know how much $$$ I lost!?!?
Interesting, Sounds typical in last few months to see revenues drop like a rock, everyone I talk to is seeing same thing, yes, recession is to blame for most of these losses, but also a smarter surfer who no longer uses PPC ads know natural search results are the real deal. Success to all,
Yeah, me too, the payment i get now is so lowwwww I really feel you, i know how it is Don't give up man
I've been hit hard! Same amount of visitors, same pageviews and clicks, but the earnings are way down. And to make things worst, 80% of my websites are related to the automotive industry.
I guess everyone is effected by the financial crisis. Advertisers have to cut their advertising expenses in order to survive and sustain.
Strange, because I cant note any droppings on keyword bids on content networks. I also havent heard nothing about my friends adsense droppings. Maybe its for some niches? You know that niches die out? I mean if you have an auto industry adsense site, then you probably wont earn much atm, cause all are in panic with economy crisis, so they dont dream about new cars and etc. On the other hand, I bet that bankruptcy type sites will get a huge revenue, since adsense will direct different lawyers onto their sites and etc. Think wide...
