I posted this somewhere else but I think that thread is not being looked since the last post before mine was from July 07. For the past few days, I have been reading many posts and threads.... What I've noticed is that alot of people "claim" to make lots of $$$ and even show fake pictures online of their income......how does that help a new guy like me???? Now, I am not asking for you to tell me how much income you make....but only the following if you choose to answer honestly. 1) How many websites/blogs do you have that account for ad income? 2) How long have these sites been running? 3) What are the general expenses to bring the traffic to these sites? Even if you are making $5,000 a month.....I would believe it more if it was coming from 5 or 6 websites rather than just one like most of these scammers leave a link to at the bottom of their posts.... Thanks in advance for being honest.
1 major site that brings most of income (probably 99% or more). 1 active subdomain that brings a little. Several "in progress" subdomains that don't have Adsense, and bring no income. 1 related topic blog that brings practically nothing. Running just over a year. No expenses for traffic- all natural. Just hosting and domain rego. Making about $4,000 per month, though on track to make quite a bit more this month... maybe $5 or 6 thousand.
1 web site that has been set up just under 6 months, adsense running for just obver 2 weeks, set for $8 for my first month ;o)
I'm running only 1 blog and I believe you can make money with adsense if you work on your SEO to bring traffic. Also write quality content that may interest people willing to search about it. Work on the position of your ad to have a better CTR. Content + traffic = Money
Yeah!~ Content on my site's (singular ) pretty messed up!~ Earned a tonne amount of 1.62$! Lol!~ Calvin.
It's not a difrrence betwen sites/blogs It all depends on traffic any site/forum/blog who has good traffic can make $
1 blog that give me 80% adsense revenue - 6 months old 5 websites - 20% adsense revenue (but make some sales every month) - 1 year olds $0 costs with hosting, advertising, etc but 12-14 hours daily online working. February 2008 earnings from Adsense - $1,686.49 I hope that will be a little more for this month.
Here is the best advice I can give. 90% of claims of making big money is pure BS. It is not as easy as many claim to make good money but it can be done. Most people who make big money do not spend all their time on forums bragging about it. Check out blogs of people who are known to make money and have been around a while and see what they are doing. Shoemoney, one of DP's moderators is one of the best examples I can give you. His blog www.shoemoney.com is a money maker and he is very successful. Another example is johnchow.com. His blog is mostly ads but he is very successful for making money. You can not just put up a site, place a couple of ads and watch the revenue come in. It does not work like that and if anyone tries to sell that BS, turn the other way. Many sell ad space, text links, write blog posts, place affiliate ads, and Adsense combined to make money. It takes time everyday to build sites and keep them fresh. It is more trial and error of what works for your site. You will often fail more often than succeed. Being willing to try anything legal and see if it works. If it doesn't, try something new. What works for one, may not work for everyone. When you do start to succeed, it will all be worth the effort. Good Luck!
Thank you for being honest....12-14 hours of time is well worth to get things going. I'm sure you will be able to decrease hours as your sites grow, right?
$3/day income... One 10-month old blog (health Niche) Spend $47 for a software to speed up my submissions to social and web2.0 sites..
I make quite a nice income but I also do not want to blow smoke up your butt. It is hard work and I spend a lot of time a day earning my money on the Internet. I have been doing for a long time and I have never made the kind of money some people claim. I make enough that I can work at home and contribute enough to help support my family. Very little of that income is from Adsense. Do you want honest answers or are you just looking stories? Stories like this is bull. You don't earn that from a 6 month old blog with no investment.
Rep added...... That is why I asked for honest answers at the beginning of this thread. I am willing to work hard and I do not expect to make money over night. I am looking to replace my wife's income since we just had a baby 4 months ago. Things are starting to get tight....so now it has become a priorty to make money somehow. I appreciate all the help I have gotten so far and trust me.....I will stay on this forum forever if I have to just to make some decent, honest, ethcial and moral income to support my family. It may not work as fast as I want it to but that is how I am going to play the game.
I don't know how much time do you spend online daily advertising your website.Personally,I said this before,I'm working at least 10 hours every day promoting my websites.I'm not using paid advertising, just free. It's not because of money,it's because I don't trust in this service(s).When I post an ad my self, I'm sure that my post will be there in the next few moments (or few hours, depends). I'm not say that it's easy to make this money online.I just say that it's possible without investment - if we talking about money- but I invest a lot in my work so,I can't say that I'm making money without investment.
People Claim -- Traffic = AdSense $$$ BS John Chow had 374,255 page views from 187,324 unique visitors in May 2007. He made a total $10,559.40 and from AdSense only $1,246.50 People Say -- Unique Contents . Very well- most people (except few) have their own unique contents.) So --YES $5000 can be earned --but its very very very hard to earn it through Google AdSense alone. ( the proverb - "don't put all eggs in one basket" ). I know loads of people who earn thousand of $$$/month -- but their money does not come alone from AdSense. Only a small part is AdSense income. Google has penalized John Chow long time back --but his income in February 2008 is close to $35000 and he no-longer bothers to have Google ads on his blog Hope you got my point.
Good for John Chow..... The whole point of this thread was to politely ask how most people are doing and how much they make from ads, affiliates and such..... I already read about Mr Chow and his big income.....my goal was to find out the rest of the blogging/website world is doing.... Care to add your own stats?
