Wich is the main difference in terms of income between adding a blog or website to an adsense account?? On the other hand wich would be the best and easiest way to develop a web site without programming skills?

    Thanks
    Very nice forum

Blogs are easier, that's why every Joe Blow has one. You sign up, slap on some content on a generic template, slap on Adsense, and voila, you have "a website". The traditional sites require webmastering skills, or at the very least, some ability to work Frontpage. In terms of income, there is no difference; it's all about the traffic you generate and the content which attracts the ads -- higher paying ads equals higher paying returns for you; more traffic equals more chances of people clicking on your ads, etc.

Either will work. It has more to do with the content you write and its uniqueness and relevancy. Blogs have some pros such as instant setup, easy to add/edit content, quick plugins, ping services etc. Websites can also be better but it really depends on how much you want to do. If you just want to write a article each day and forget about it get a blog.

The content will generate the ads, so it should not really matter what you have. Recently, I am seeing blogs that are much more like sites anyway.

A website is a website IMO, blog or otherwise. It's still a site on the web, hence it is a website.

I would agree with above comments....but there are some important points in favor of blog. Besides being very easy to implement, blogpost blog has this inherent functionality to automatically notify weblog everytime you post new content so that is sort of an invitation for SE to visit your blog. Google loves blog because it is believed that blog is like a journal so ppl tend to post fresh content, but lots of them is changing with blogspamming with tools like rss2blog.

Ultimately the content and traffic are two main factors whether it is blog or website.

I disagree, a website mostly is one where you don't need to update constantly. Blog is something you are expected to update, now many of us are not doing that regularly which is different story. But certainly there is a difference. Tons of small business websites are just full of information which once published on net rarely changes while blogs on the other hand keep on changing with new content.

Most of advanced corporations have now added another tag in their leftnav and topnav k/a blog because they realized that they can get better ranking in SE with blog. So in a way blog could be part of the website but certainly has a different flavor.

Blogs have the advantage of free hosting; on the other hand the owner of the blog is the blogger? Is there going to be an inconvenience with the copyright or domain in the future?

I have a great blog that gets pretty good traffic but makes no $$$ at all. I have some really stupid sites that make me money.

If you insist on holding onto the '80s idea of what a "website" is, be my guess. No one else cares if you call your site a "blog" or a "website" except you. So in the end, what does it matter what you call it? It's still just a site on the web, thus it is a website.

It comes out to the same thing, but I think blogs are easier because you do not have to worry about the code, you can just cut and paste articles or write about personal experiences. I think blogs make it easier to add a large amount of content easier

    Lol agreed.

And I also agree - Your site probably has better information than the blog or else gets more/better traffic. Using a site vs blog really is no different. It all depends on the design, site structure, usability, ad mass, backlinks and quality of traffic. If everything is equal I don't think you would see any difference. However when I am looking for a professional opinion on something I do prefer to see a site or blog hosted on its own domain. It looks more professional than a free remotely hosted blog or site(especially site).

I don't know, you made the comparison. Most of the rice sold in America is from the U.S.:p

My point was that format has no bearing on income and to some extent content is not the deciding factor either. If great content was the end all be all then nobody would make money on parked domains.

You could make the greatest widget in the world but it won't make you rich if nobody buys it. I have a great blog on an area that I am passionate about. I have other sites that are strategically marketed to make money.

I am going to assume this was for me. The blog is religous in nature and there really is no reason to click an ad from there.
