For Original Content Sites Out of the Sandbox: How Much is Reasonable Average AdSense Income?

Just trying to get estimates and opinions. I know that the correct answer would be "depends." But, any answer more helpful than that would be great.

    Thanks

My vote goes for "More" - but as you've said it depends on many factors.

Personally however, I feel writing an article is well more than $4 work and wouldn't do so unless I felt that the article would return a reasonable sum.

I agree with that, but I must point out that I am looking at a $n per month per article on an average in an original content site.

    Thanks

Historically my InfoPool site has averaged just better than $1.00 per month per article in AdSense earnings. That average is down over the last couple of month and is now closer to 50 cents per article per month.

The other factor in AdSense earning is the number of visitors per day to the articles. My total site enjoys approximately 1,000 unique visitors per day. I'm sure if this went to 10,000 uniques a day that my AdSense earnings would also go up by a factor of 10.

I am just starting with Adsense and I am learning new things. What is this Adsense Sandbox thing? I know about the "ordinary" Sandbox but...

There is no "AdSense Sandbox". The question was "if your content site is not in the sandbox", in other words it is appearing in the SERPs where it should be. I personally think the issue of sandbox was irrelevant to the question. It isn't a matter of a site being in the sandbox, it is simply a matter of traffic to the site.

Well, there is an Adsense Sandbox tool:
    http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/adsense-sandbox/

'sandbox' in the webmaster's lexicon has to do with putting something in test mode. The term got coined for the effects on a new site because you could only find it by url - it's there, but only for test searches on existence.

Picky, Picky. You are of course correct, but totally out of context. That sandbox has absolutely nothing to do with the sandbox mention by the author of this thread.

It was late. When I went to bed I suddenly realized how and why the sandbox of this thread.

Anyway, I have a page about a certain topic, and when I run this page through the Adsense Sandbox of the DP site, I get lots of ads.

The real page however, just shows just ONE miserable ad, out of two possible. The second ad doesn't show. The same site does show the second ad on other pages.

So I thought "Maybe this page is in the Adsense Sandbox" :)
