Ok, I have included one of my sites RSS feed in iGoogle.....Since it appears on the PR 6 page of iGoogle and is directly linking to my site..will that help to increase PR coz there are no-nofollow tags....or do they use javascript of something else that prevents any benefits.....
    Thanks

i have read some article tells about doing this way, but its not for the ranking, but for fast indexing your web URL in google search. i think it may not effect the PR..

I think it is just like gmail. The gmail inbox also have PR but we don't get boost of PR from that pages.

Different accounts will see different links which they have saved their earlier.

NO. Your iGoogle homepage is dynamic and behind username/password that means it can't be indexed by Google.

Does that answer your question? You will not get Any PR neither a backlink.

Oh Yes...that makes sense......Coz sometimes when you are already logged in, it automatically opens iGoogle as your home page that is why i forgot about entering the password....

    Thanks

the example will not help you to get a better page rank. it may only help you to get more visitors but not page rank

Unfortunately iGoogle will not give in any benefits in terms of PR, backlinks, etc. because it's not a "normal" page. It's dynamic, not cached, etc. :(
