When I include an @Name in my tweet does that person receive a copy of my tweet?

The question is does anyone ever look at the mentions? I never do.

Corporates should - otherwise they miss that people are talking about them.
I don't really like twitter so I probably check my mentions when I check my account - about twice a year ;)

Yes, a copy of your tweet should be received the person you include in your tweet.

Whenever you mention Twitter handler of any person. He/she will receive a notification on their account for your activity. The message will like '... has mentioned you in a tweet'
