Ok, I have gotten into this whole incentive based affiliate stuff and am looking for some new ways to promote it. (ok before someone says that incentives are wrong or what ever, there are affiliate programs that ALLOW for incentives). I have been hanging around ddboard.com and have found some good traffic to my affiliates like that, I have started my own point forum, is there any other technique I am missing in regard to incentive affiliate promotion?
There's nothing wrong with incentive marketing and it does work for both the publisher and advertiser. But then again, it depends on how far you take the incentive. For example, if you are paying people to signup to a program / offer then there is a very high chance that the person is only signing up to get your money and not for the actual offer. Now if you have a forum like you have and then you make a review of a program / offer and tell people that it's good to signup to, then people don't have to signup to it and will not have money thrown at them to do so, so if they sign up that way then it's more likely because they have read your review which has made them interested in the program / offer.
