Inbound links from same source

Can anyone tell me if several inbound links from the sames source increase ranking? I see a website with several links from diferent pages of the same website and google has granted them all as valid inbound links. I have however established several inbounds from different sources of related pages and google has not counted any.

    Can anyone shed some light?

I've noticed the same. I think that the links from the same source are just given lesser weight.

Yes, most probably. For example, all signatures from DP is considered of lesser weigh.. IMO :)

If you are using the link: command is Google to see if the links are counted then you are making a mistake...use the google webmaster tools.

i think as long as it is related,, i think its weight doesn't lessen... the less weight i think is that if a link is repeatedly placed in a page..
