Inbound Link Help...? (Financal Sector Related)

    Hi,

I'm currently working on recruiting inbound links in the SEO team for our company.

I am struggling to find ontopic relevant sites which we can approach for inbound links.

We don't do outbound links, so reciprocal links are out of question.

Trying to source these sites which are not link farms/ spammy sites is nigh impossible.

Can anyone give me any pointers?

    Many thanks

To actually try to avoid those spammy ones try to give yourself some catalogation pointers :

    1. Is the site having a minimum PR of 5 ?

    2. Is the site in Dmoz ?

    3. Does the site use outbound links to other spammy sites ?

    4. Is the site indexed in Google ?

    5. Search the link:www.site.com operator, and see what sites link to it. Are those sites spammy ?

All the above aren't always true. For example, a spammy site could be in DMOZ (which happens very often), or a quality website is not in DMOZ.

Start with directories, end with high PR relevant sites.

Thanks for the replies, we currently have strict criteria on the sites/ dirs we should approach.

Maybe a little too strict though
