"Inactive for search..." and getting impressions?

Something odd just happened. I started a new AdGroup and it told me right away that my bids were too low, "Inactive for search Increase quality or bid $X to activate". The min. bids were too high for me, so I just left it to re-think my plan.

Later on and the next day it still listed my keywords as "Inactive for search..." and I had changed nothing else - BUT I was getting impressions. I did a search and saw my ad even.

These are not being listed as network impressions either. All my KWs are broad match. Now I would love it if this keeps up, but anyone know what is going on with this?

Don't know whats up but if you are only paying a minimum amount and your position is good leave it alone. What position are you in?

Average position was 3.2 CPC $.05

The CTR was very bad however, so I re-did the ad text. Hopefully it keeps showing but at the moment it isn't... and it has been 6 hours. I should have left it alone!

I find sometimes I do get impressions even with "inactive for search" keywords. It really just depends on the amount of searches for that keyword and other advertisers at any given moment.

Look down at the bottom of your ad group management screen and you'll see this:

Thanks for pointing that out. I guess I will keep the AdGroup and hope they want to test my ad quality again in the future! The min. bids are just too high for me. Kind of frustrating since there are only a few ads for these keywords.
